WELCOME to "peace for the journey"; a shared road for those of us whose hearts gather in one accord to take hold of the one and only God who can be known and who promises his companioned peace for the pilgrimage ahead. Peace isn’t a concept. Peace is a person. His name is Jesus Christ, and if my words further your contemplation of him, then they have breathed their full potential in God’s magnificent workings for my life and for yours. I pray you always find him here. Shalom.

thankful

Sometimes there comes a moment that catches me off guard, an unexpected pause in my day that strikes a chord deep within, stirring the cobwebs off of the history of my heart.

I had a moment like that today while listening to this song on Kimberly's blog. The sacred nature of the setting, coupled with the haunting echoes from the acoustical setting, set my spirit aflame and called to my remembrance that long ago and far away split-second clarification when I clearly understood the grace and truth of Calvary's gift.

I'm still a sinner, friends, and God's grace is still amazing.

Remember and be thankful.

Have a blessed weekend, friends. As always...

Beautiful! Beautiful!

Have you seen the movie Amazing Grace? I was confused the first 20 minutes I think, but that movie moved me so much, and the song took on even more meaning!

Oh the grace that saved me and the grace that covers my sin today. The grace that looks beyond my ablility and gives me life as a gift. Oh the grace that touches my spirit man when my flesh is scared over with fear and pain that the world imposes.... Oh the amazing grace that saved a wretch like me........

I too have cobwebs that need to be swept away by the gentle breeze of the Holy Spirit.....

I had seen this video before and loved this rendition of Amazing Grace! Something about this song always gets to me... We had it sung at my son's memorial service so it evokes lots of emotion in me! Thanks for the reminder of God's grace poured out on me!

Love the pic of the crosses you chose and love the song. Something so powerful and full of meaning about a song sung acapella. Amazing grace indeed. Amen and Amen!

I wanted to tell you that I don't think I've been listening to God about his plans for our lives here and today I am thankful because we think maybe today we are.

When we've been there
10,000 years
Bright shining as the sun
There'll be no less days
to sing his praise
Than when we'd first begun.

Won't it be glorious, Elaine? And on top of that, we're going to sound as good as here when we're singin' it. Let's stand by each other, and sing a duet once, shall we?

Oh glory ...

Precious Elaine,

This made me cry. My mom just told me about this video this morning as I sat along the ocean shore. Now as I sit in the hotel to get out of the sun, I stopped by your blog because I knew you'd have something good to chew on. I was right. God led me to here...I have no doubt.

I am touched by the grace of our GOD. This is a sacred moment. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Elaine. I read your other post too about a new thing. If you only knew how many times I am being drawn to that exact verse.

God is speaking through you to me today.

Love you,

Tiffany
